Dr. Murillo Adrados joined Carilion Clinic Orthopedics in 2021. His practice focuses on minimally invasive total joint replacement as well as complex primary and revision hip and knee reconstruction.

Dr. Adrados did his undergraduate studies at Duke University. He then attended New York University School of Medicine, followed by orthopedic residency at Yale. He is a graduate of the distinguished Orthocarolina Hip and Knee program, the premier arthroplasty reconstruction fellowship in the United States.

As faculty at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Dr. Adrados is proud to devote a significant portion of his professional time to medical education and arthroplasty research. As part of the Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, he helps train the next generation of hip and knee surgeons. His research interests include surgical safety and patient optimization, healthcare access, infection prevention and the treatment and diagnosis of painful total joint replacements.
